Part of my Windows series. This painting drew inspiration from my walks around my local neighbourhood and the Mid-Century Modern architecture.
In 2023, searching for a new home, I found my perfect place in Dulwich. The moment I entered the 1960’s open-plan apartment, I was captivated by its generous scale and light. The cantilevered Crittall windows displayed the leafy splendour of Dulwich Upper Wood, the contemporary space sparked immediate inspiration.
Oil on linen panel. Presented without glass, the artwork is allowed to breathe and interact with light, enhancing its physical and emotional presence.
The solid oak frame, tinted by hand with Osmo oil, reveals the natural grain and warmth of the wood
