I've been taking on commissions for over 30 years, ranging from portraits to creating new artwork for specific spaces or re-envisioning existing pieces. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with designers, advertisers, book publishers, businesses, and private clients alike. My work has appeared in museums, offices, album covers, theatre posters, company reports and even tattoos. Some of my clients include Penguin Books, The Royal Opera House, British Airways, Sony Records, Conde Naste and Chase Manhattan Bank.
CORPORATE & PRIVATE COMMISSIONS
Each commission presents its own unique challenge, but that’s what excites me about the process. Whether it’s creating a bespoke artwork for a commercial project or a personal portrait, I bring the same passion to every piece. I’ve even donated works to organisations like the Terence Higgins Trust and Cancer Research netting them thousands in donations , and exhibited alongside artists such as Tracey Emin and Anthony Gormley.
PORTRAIT COMMISSIONS
Painting a portrait for someone is such a special experience and is one of my favourite things to do. Nothing creates that feeling of connection more than a fine art portrait. I have painted the young, old and departed, celebrities, families, and individuals. Some are formal portraits some not so, depending on what the collector wants. The range of finish varies as does the price. I offer a guarantee that if you’re not happy with the end result you will get a full refund and full payment is not made until the collector is happy with their artwork. I’ve included a rough breakdown of prices below to give you an idea.
SKY PORTRAIT ARTIST OF THE YEAR
Recently, I participated in Sky Portrait Artist of the Year 2024, a rewarding experience that challenged me to create a portrait in just four hours. No mean feat, considering you’re surrounded and bombarded by a TV crew, an audience and interviewed constantly. There’s no room for error… or paint drying!
This experience led me to refine a method that allows me to complete a portrait from start to finish in that time, and it’s now one of the options I offer to clients.
